Author: David RothIf you are seeking to learn more about the Bible, looking for tools to increase your relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, or simply need material for your Sunday School lessons or sermons, I hope this website will be a blessing to you. You can find my Daily Bible Studies in the column to the right.

My old website crashed and I could not move the Bible Study files from the old data base to this one. Therefore, I am having to copy them over one at a time. The Books of Genesis,  Exodus, Leviticus and Romans are now complete. Click on the Bible Study Library link in the right column and then choose. Eventually I will have over 3,000 daily studies when the work is done and I am still writing. God bless you for visiting this page.

12  But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and [your] nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.

The swearing of oaths is a sin.

James sincerely believed that, as he wrote, "But above all things, my brethren, swear not!" Then, he itemizes with a list that includes all things. Do not swear by heaven, neither by earth, neither by any other oath. This rule should be first among all the things that govern your life. Do not swear!  Read More
